Executive Coaching · Organisation Advisory

Every leadership
conversation
starts within

Leadership is rarely limited by intelligence or experience. More often, it is shaped by the assumptions you no longer notice. The questions you’ve stopped asking. The familiar ways of thinking that quietly guide your decisions.

The Work

My work begins
where advice stops

I work with founders, CEOs and leadership teams to enhance leadership effectiveness, develop future leaders and build organisations that thrive beyond individual brilliance.

My work spans executive coaching, organisation advisory and strengthening the people systems that shape culture, capability and long-term performance. Whether I’m coaching a leader or advising an organisation, the goal is the same: to leave behind stronger leadership, stronger organisations and the capability to succeed long after my work is done.

The Kintsugi Story

“Life leaves its marks.
You decide what they become.”

Every leader has
their own Kintsugi

myTsugi draws inspiration from the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold lacquer. Rather than concealing the cracks, Kintsugi celebrates them. The repairs become part of the object’s story and, many believe, make it even more beautiful than before.

The leaders I admire most aren’t those who have avoided setbacks. They’re those who have learned from difficult decisions, unexpected failures and moments of uncertainty. Those experiences don’t define their limitations; they deepen judgement, strengthen character and become part of who they are.

Like the golden seams of Kintsugi, they are not flaws to hide but sources of wisdom to carry forward.

About

Helping leaders think
more clearly when the
answers aren’t obvious

I’ve spent over four decades helping leaders navigate growth, transformation and uncertainty. My experience spans global investment banks, Indian financial institutions and founder-led businesses, including as Managing Director & Head of Human Resources at Deutsche Bank, South Asia and Group Head of Human Resources at Kotak Mahindra Bank. Today, I work as an executive coach and organisation advisor, helping leaders think more clearly when the answers aren’t obvious.

Curiosity has shaped my career as much as experience. It has taken me from a Master’s degree in Human Resources from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) to earning the INSEAD Coaching Certificate (ICC) at INSEAD Fontainebleau. I believe the best coaches never stop being students themselves.

What I've learned

The behaviours we find hardest to change are often the ones that helped us succeed.

Over four decades of working with leaders, I’ve learned that recognising a pattern rarely changes it. Patterns can guide our behaviour unconsciously for years, because they give us something we value, sometimes more than we realise. Familiarity and comfort keep us attached to them, even as we privately wonder why they no longer work.

I bring this lens to my coaching and advisory work, helping leaders decide what to keep, what to adapt and what to let go. Better judgement rarely comes from new information. It comes from finally seeing the patterns we have learned to live with.

Executive Coaching

Leadership changes
when the person leading
begins to change

Executive coaching is not an end in itself. Its purpose is to help leaders become more effective, make better decisions and create greater impact for themselves, their teams and their organizations. Better leadership creates stronger teams, healthier cultures and organizations that continue to thrive long after individual achievements are forgotten.

“The coaching topic is never the point. The patterns behind it are.”

Where coaching
usually begins

Coaching conversations often begin with a visible challenge. Sometimes the focus is on delegation, influencing stakeholders or building high-performing teams. At other times, it’s succession planning, leadership transitions, managing mergers or scaling a founder-led organization.

  • Stepping into a larger role
  • Strengthening executive presence
  • Navigating organizational change
  • Deciding under uncertainty
  • Delegation & influencing stakeholders
  • Building high-performing teams
  • Succession & leadership transitions
  • Managing mergers
  • Scaling a founder-led organization
  • Resilience under pressure
  • Thinking more strategically

Coaching conversations center around

What You Tell Yourself

What you repeat, you become

The stories we tell ourselves shape our confidence, decisions and behaviour long before anyone else notices. Coaching begins by examining the assumptions that quietly influence how we lead.

What Others Experience

Presence is a practice, not a personality

Leadership is experienced through everyday actions—how we communicate, delegate, listen, influence and respond under pressure. Others don’t experience our intentions. They experience our behaviour.

What remains when noise fades

Leadership is measured after you leave

The most enduring leaders leave behind capable people, healthy cultures and systems that continue to create value long after they are gone.

Organization Advisory

“Leadership doesn't exist in isolation. It succeeds or struggles within the organization around it.”

Leadership effectiveness never depends on the leader alone. The organization around them- its leadership team, structure, decision-making processes and people practices can either amplify a leader’s impact or quietly limit it. My organization advisory work focuses on strengthening this wider environment, so that good leadership is matched by systems just as strong.
While every engagement is different, the focus stays the same.
  • Strengthening leadership teams
  • Organizational alignment
  • Developing future leaders
  • Talent & succession practices
  • Performance management
  • Organizational transformation

Great leadership deserves an organization built to sustain it.

Wide Angle

Essays on leadership, work and life

The coaching
conversation ends.
Leadership doesn’t.

The questions that emerge in coaching often extend far beyond individual leaders. They touch organisations, decision-making, human behaviour and the assumptions that quietly shape how we think, work and lead. These reflections explore those ideas, not to provide ready-made answers, but to encourage deeper conversations with ourselves and with those around us.

Before you go

Every leader
has a story

“You cannot guide others until you’ve met yourself.”

Start the conversation

Whether you’re looking for an executive coach, organization advisor or simply want to explore an idea, I’d be pleased to hear your story and understand what you’re trying to achieve.

Not the one on your résumé, but the quieter one shaped by choices made, lessons learned and setbacks overcome. Those experiences influence how we think, how we decide and how we lead.

myTsugi is an invitation to explore that story with curiosity, candour and the willingness to question what has quietly become familiar.
